Actual Age
When buying or selling a home, it's important to know and consider the house's actual age. The actual age of a building simply refers to how long the dwelling has been standing. The amount of years following the end of construction to the present day would be its actual age. Often, determining the exact age can be difficult, especially with regard to particularly old buildings and structures. While archived documents can be sought to discover the age, these papers aren't always available. At times, a building's actual age can only be estimated. Various methods can be used to estimate a building's age. Particular eras are marked by the use of certain materials like hand-made nails, linoleum flooring and outdated structural panels. A dwelling's architectural style can also pinpoint an accurate time frame. When the age of a building is known, a price can be more confidently affixed.
