Insulation
Insulation refers to the materials used in a home to help maintain temperature, slow heat loss and help keep a structure cool in warmer months. There are a number of different types of insulation, and each is composed of a different material. These include glass wool, polystyrene, cellulose and more. Each type has different properties as well as different benefits and drawbacks. The main concern with any home would be that the insulation is appropriate for the climate, it is in all of the correct areas, and there are no gaps or thin areas of insulation. Windows also provide insulation from the elements, and older windows or ones that are improperly installed can be drafty and poorly insulated. A decent double-pane window that is correctly installed will be quite effective in most environments.
