Move-Up Buyer
A move-up buyer is anyone who has a powerful motivation to make a deal on a property. There are many incentives to purchase for a move-up buyer. Examples of a move-up buyer may include individuals who are expecting a baby, newlyweds and recently graduated professionals, who require many lifestyle changes that may induce the desire for a new home. For instance, a couple that recently got married and completed their medical residency may be looking to purchase a bigger home since their incomes are likely to increase and because they may consider starting a family. A move-up buyer typically has a clear idea of what he or she wants in the next home. This may include the number of bedrooms and bathrooms as well as the number of garages. Move-up buyers are willing to negotiate, but they typically already have an ideal home in mind.
