Personal Profile
I grew up in Phoenix, AZ and as far back as I can remember I always enjoyed outdoor activities. My family would camp & fish in the mountains of Arizona. I joined the Explore Scouts high adventure post and we backpacked, rock climbed, explored caves, canoed and embarked on many adventures. Currently I have many hobbies. I enjoy photography, gardening, canning & pickling vegetables, cooking & creating new recipes and going for walks. I also like driving my sports car, attending car shows and listening to live music. Some of my most exciting adventures include whitewater rafting, exploring caves, soaring in a hot air balloon and swimming with sharks. I would love to travel the world and visit the Mediterranean region. I met my husband in Arizona and we moved to Lompoc in 1983 and settled there. We have raised 2 children and now have 4 wonderful grandchildren. The Central Coast is a great place to live and raise children!
In addition to my family and my faith, my proudest achievement is my 30 year successful real estate career. I have won many awards including the Centurion award for Century 21 for several years and "Realtor of the Year" for the Lompoc Valley Realtor Board. What I like about my Real Estate career is each client has a different story and needs. I want to have a positive impact on their lives and help them achieve their Real Estate goals. She is an amazing negotiator and communicates well with the web of professionals to find efficient ways to meet deadlines and find the best options for the buyer. She is personally involved in foreseeing the obsticles in the purchase of a property and communicates well, as a team member, with financial advisors and local skilled professional to see the process through to completion. She takes a personal interest in the buyers (and sellers) that she represents by communicating efficiently to know their projected needs in the negotiations of a given property and often follows through with advice concerning maintence, improvements and enhancement of property bought and sold. Seller reviewI was helping my 85 year old father-in-law sell his home. My father-in-law, my wife and myself sat down and made a list of what we hoped to get from a realtor. We were leaving the state, so we needed someone we could trust to do everything. We wanted someone who worked for a well known company, professional, experienced, knows the area and has history selling houses there. And honestly someone that we liked. Billie Jean has all these qualities. Also, even though my fater-in-law is 85 and I was very involved in all the decisions, every time she spoke she always spoke to my fater-in-law. I respect her for that. She really went above and beyond! Because we were leaving the state we had to leave misccellaneous items behind, she put in alot of time finding places for the stuff, including giving away to the needy and hiring someone to haul off the rest. She also coordinated several repairs that needed to be done. As we say in the military Bravo Zulo Billie Jean!
