I first contacted Dave in summer of 2013 at the recommendation of the Agricultural Commissioner of El Dorado County as the best agent to work with for an agricultural property purchase in and around El Dorado County. Dave spent many hours with me in 2013 investigating several properties in the area and introducing me to both the agricultural community as well as the process of evaluating a farm for purchase. He provided excellent counsel to us during that period and was even a critical voice in counseling us to wait on our purchase and find a rental in the meantime. It was absolutely the right decision. I had no question about who I wanted to work with when my wife and I decided to move forward with our recent farm purchase.
Dave was with me during every step of the way and his agricultural property purchase checklist was an indispensable roadmap through the many different considerations, issues, liabilities, and opportunities we had to process during the property investigation and escrow inspections. Dave made double sure that no stone was left unturned and no issue un-investigated. His particular knowledge of farms and vineyards was indispensable during our purchase considerations. Not only was he able to help us understand the property very well prior to our offer, once we embarked on a very short escrow, Dave was able to schedule extremely knowledgable experts and inspectors to help us understand our property in intimate detail.
