Personal Profile

Jim started his real estate career, in 2001, with Century 21 Bowerman/Peake and is currently the owner/broker. Since 2001 Jim has furthered his real estate education by completing classes and receiving certifications for Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) designation and CRS-Certified Residential Specialist. He has been continually active in his local realtor association including serving on the Board of Directors from 2007-2009 sitting on the committees for finance, bylaws, education, and MLS. He also served as Association president from 2006-2008. He was awarded Realtor of the Year in both 2010 and 2014 and the George D. Noch Leadership award, in 2008, from the association and fellow realtors. He graduated from Central Michigan University in 1999 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Jim currently resides in Clare with his wife, Heather, and his 2 young daughters. His hobbies include bow hunting, tournament bass fishing, and spending time with his family.

JIm was willing to drive to neighboring towns even during early weekend hours which was very beneficial to us. We had a very large area we were looking at. He always had our best interest in mind and helped show us listing we may not have considered. He also made sure our 6 year old felt involved in the process and asked her questions, which made the experience that much more special to our family.

His comments on how to improve the home for sale were helpful, such as the replacement of the kitchen floor and update of the bathroom. Jim is the consummate professional and takes his job very seriously. He made the process very simple for us. His knowledge of the process and the property made us feel at ease and he was able to provide assistance and direction in a timely manner any time we contacted him. We would highly recommend James and his team at Century 21 Bowerman Peake to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

Within 48 hours of calling James with our wish list he responded with a list of properties that met many of our desires for our first home. The weather was horrible the night before our first showing. We wanted to see almost all of the properties but were only able to see one. As it turned out the first one he showed us was perfect for us. What it lacked in wish list items it made up for in the beautiful condition the home was kept in and the potential of the 5-acre piece of land that came with it.

We can't wait to settle in and enjoy the piece and tranquility of sitting on the covered porch and listening to the wind whistling through the trees. Many thanks to Jim for making the purchase of our first home a smooth and enjoyable experience.
