This was my first time buying a house, so I knew absolutely nothing about the process. From start to finish - "just looking" to closing - Jeff was patient, knowledgeable and articulate. He had an immediate sense of what would be a good fit for me, both monetarily and visually, and took me to listings I could envision as home.
I had asked to look at a few extremely rundown listings: waterlogged lumber, collapsing roofs, raccoon-infested attics. I did this because I had the fantasy of refurbishing a place. It was unrealistic; I'm too busy to put that much energy into a project. However, Jeff was happy to entertain my questions, and never made me feel like my curiosities were unrealistic. He brought me to the places I asked, and allowed me to come to my own conclusions about what was and what wasn't right for me.
An example of Jeff's awesome character: early on in the process, I'd made mention that my boyfriend's father is a NASCAR fan. We'd gotten into a conversation about his favorite driver (Mark Martin), and Jeff said he had a signed Mark Martin hat. I said something like, "Oh, that's cool," and that was that. Months later, after I finally decided on a house, Jeff gave me the hat to give to my boyfriend's father, since he didn't, "have any use for it anyway." Such a small gesture on his part really showed me what a thoughtful and attentive person Jeff is.
