We were on a very tight time schedule to find and close on a home. Mark Gold kept the process moving quickly and we were able to close on time, which made moving much easier for us. We were also able to purchase the home below asking price, which was very impressive given we were buying a home in a sellers market. We are definitely going to use Mark Gold again if and when we need to buy or sell a home.

My wife had worked 6 years for a competing local agency before leaving to care for her father in Pittsburgh. Also, I have been in Santa Rosa business community for for over 30 years. Therefore, we both had plenty of well-respected, highly professional real estate agents from which to select? I had known Mark for the previous 20 years and had been a founding member of a referral network for the past ten. Yet this was a big move for both my wife and I plus it involved our families biggest asset, our home, which would be a substantial contributor to our retirement. Mark may have had an edge of the others but believe me our agent had to bring more than friendship, our agent had to have it all.
We expect the agent to provide us with good service but honestly, Mark's was excellent! Every aspect of the home selling process was done with tremendous attention to detail after giving full consideration to all the options and delivering suggestions in a calming manner. Century 21 must be ecstatic to have him on their team. And speaking of "team," every member of his staff as well as the others in the company who helped out were equally as good!
In closing, I need to confess that I seriously overrated the value of my house when we first listed it in Augusy of 2014. I failed to appropriately discounting its location on a busy street as well as the existence of our swimming pool. I had solely determined the sale price based on a house located a block away that had sold the week before we had listed. However, it was on a quieter street. Mark brought this up as being an very important factor but supported my position when I overruled him. After getting little to no interest, we dropped our price $20K, then another $30K before taking it off the market prior to Thanksgiving of 2014. We could not drop the price $600K. Five months later Mark met with my wife and I and laid out his plan ~ to have us offer the house at $599,900 to encourage interest and maybe even get an offer of more than the asking. Believe it or not, we had three offers over asking by the weekend and accepted the one $30K over our asking!! A good strategy overcame a stubborn Seller and everyone was happy!!
We recommend Mark Gold unconditionally for the end result is we are on our way to a happy retirement and have him to thank for getting it off to such a wonderful start.

Mark was very helpful in not letting me move in to undesirable locations with children. Letting me know about some places that I would be outbid, but even if I still wanted to try and get a place he was willing to show it to us and put in our offer. All in all he felt like a friend helping me purchase a place and not an agent trying to make a sale for commission.
