Personal Profile
I am the youngest of eight siblings and was fortunate to have two amazing parents who taught all of us the value of family, which I continue today with my loving wife of over 20 years and our two children.
When I was a child, my family moved numerous times all over the country until finally settling in South Tampa in 1978. I have lived in 27 houses, apartments and townhouses over my life with only a few of them being what I would call "Home." It is hard to say what made some of the places I lived just a residence while others felt like home. I guess it was the love and memories that were created with my family that made the difference.
I have lived all over South Tampa (Davis Islands, Hyde Park, Palma Ceia, Beach Park, Westshore Area, New Suburb Beautiful, and Bayshore Beautiful) during the past 40 years. I attended Wilson, Jr. High and graduated from Plant High School in 1982. I earned my Bachelors of Science Degree in Education from Florida State University and later a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
I have been part of the Hillsborough County Public School System for over 33 years. Of those 33+ years, 23 of them have been at South Tampa's Coleman Middle School (eight as a teacher and 15 as the Principal). It has been an honor to serve our students, their families and the South Tampa Community.
Growing up in South Tampa, raising my family here, working at a highly regarded Middle School, and developing lifelong friendships has allowed me to learn and know all the nuances of South Tampa. I know South Tampa like the back of my hand. I understand what South Tampa families are looking for in a home and where they want that home to be in order to best meet the needs of their families.
I am excited to be part of the CENTURY 21 LIST with BEGGINS Team, because it feels like family. I am honored to be able to continue to serve our South Tampa Community and your family by helping you to find your "Home" where you can create your lifetime of loving family memories or selling your home to help you start that next chapter in your life.

Seller reviewMike went above and beyond, especially in keeping me on an even keel during the inevitable problems pre-closing. He also helped me get rid of stuff before moving permanently to Finland. He was available at any time day or night for phone and text conversations along with coming to the condo to meet with me personally. Mike, having moved many times during his life has always loved real estate, which shows in his enthusiasm for the job. His experience as a middle school principal makes him an expert in dealing with all kinds of people in all kinds of situations. In addition, he is an accomplished problem solver, looking at issues calmly yet creatively. He's also adept with financial and legal affairs in the real estate business. I'm so glad Mike Hoskinson was my realtor. I knew I could trust his advice and not worry about every little detail in signing forms and contracts. He made those kinds of things easy and convenient by letting me sign most forms (if not all) online. I highly recommend him for his skill in the all facets of selling property.
