I have been involved in the real estate business since 2004, and in sales nearly my whole life. In 2004 I began flipping homes and realized two things, 1) I was really good at it, and 2)I really should sell real estate instead of just flipping homes. Several years ago I began my real estate career, full time, and again realized two things, 1) I'm really good at it, and 2)I not only do I love restoring old things and making them knew, but I love the thrill of helping people find their dream home. When working with contractors to refurbish and sell homes there is one very important ingredient to turn a profit, stay on budget and stay on schedule. In order for this to occur great communication has to take place. Taking that lesson into my Real Estate career has enabled me to build a successful business. The key to a prosperous real estate transaction is listening, collaboration, and great communication. I pride myself in keeping my clients informed throughout the entire process. Working hand in hand with my clients to ensure a successful transaction takes place is critical to my ongoing success. I am originally from Northwest Indiana, and moved to the Indianapolis area in 2001 after graduating from Ball State University with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. After teaching first grade in Lawrence Township for three years and purchasing my own home during that time, I decided to pursue my love for sales & marketing. Real Estate has been a fulfilling career for me, as it provides endless opportunities to interact with and help people on a daily basis. The many transferrable skills that I acquired during my teaching career have allowed me to excel in a "softer" Real Estate market. With most buyers beginning their home search on the Internet, my proficiency in technology has benefited both buyers and sellers tremendously. As a college graduate I immediately began my career in the insurance industry. I worked in various roles as a Premium Audit Department Manager to a Claims Representative. With my professional experiences I have gained superior negotiation and analytical skills. I continuously achieved the goals and I was quickly promoted into a management position. As a department manager I learned how to be responsive to my employees and how to mediate sensitive situations. To be versed in all of these skills are an important part of the real estate transaction as well. A real estate professional needs to be able to negotiate the best terms, analyze the market, be responsive to the clients, and handle sensitive situations. However, the number one key to success is passion. I believe hard work will pay off and that anyone is capable of anything they are passionate about. Over the years I found that I enjoyed helping my clients and I have always loved the process of home buying and selling. So I put my professional experience with my passion to start a new career in real estate.
I met my husband Bob when we both worked for a local insurance company. We are the parents of four wonderful children so I am very active in the community with cheerleading, dance, soccer, softball, gymnastics, etc. I love to cook and attended culinary school to learn more techniques. I enjoy baking birthday cakes for the little ones including my nieces and nephews.
I was born in Granite City, Illinois. I moved to Brownsburg, Indiana in 1977 where I started my real estate career. I currently live in Carmel, Indiana with my husband and our three small dogs.
I have enjoyed working in real estate and have created many life long friendships with my clients. I enjoy pets, taking vacations in Florida (when I rarely get away from my real estate life) and spending time with my family and friends.
I have 24 years in professional sales and marketing. I've worked extensively in national advertising sales for syndicated programming and Direct TV. Spent six years in sales and development of severe weather tracking and prediction systems along with plume modeling systems for Military, Aviation, Federal and State Agencies as well as the DOD. I've spent the last 12 years in the real estate industry including the 9 as a full time agent.
