I was born in the spring of 1969 in Athens, Ohio where my father was attending school for his PhD in Physics at the University of Ohio, while working as a postman. After he finished we moved to Illinois, then New Hampshire, and finally on to Long Island New York. My father was a very hard worker and instilled in me the trait of hard work and dedication to a job well done. He exemplified the desire to make anything happen through hard work and dedication.
At the age of 18, I decided to join the Navy and become a Navy SEAL. I accomplished 7 weeks of boot camp, and qualified to attend SPUDS training. Upon review of my medical records I was informed that I could not in fact be a Navy SEAL due to being partially colorblind. I was separated from the Navy at that point, but with the dedication and desire to serve my country, at the age of 20, I decided to join the Army.
From August 1990 until October 2010 I served in the Army. Instilled with patriotism and the desire to succeed and set new standards in every job I was given, I reached the rank of Sergeant First Class before retiring. During the course of my career in the Army I travelled to many locations to include Hawaii, Colorado, South Korea, The Netherlands, Turkey, and finally back to the states where I settled in Augusta, GA and bought my first home in 2004.
I have always believed in a sense of team work. I have played many sports over the years, mainly as a Goal Keeper for soccer teams. From all my experiences, whether it be from the Army or sports, I have learned teamwork, loyalty, dedication, and selfless service to my teammates and peers, and a never give up attitude.
When I retired from the Army in 2010, I was offered a position in an experimental program that took me over to Afghanistan for the last 3 years. I worked 7 days a week, 12 to 16 hours a day, the entire time I was there. Once the program came to an end I decided it was time to put all my efforts into a dream I have always had, that dream was to become a REALTOR. I have finally been able to accomplish that dream!!
