With over 13 years of experience working in real estate, I can help you!
In addition to being a Real Estate Broker with Century 21 Scheetz, here is a quick summary of my professional background:
-2 years of experience selling new homes with Centex Homes in Indianapolis, Indiana.
-4 years of experience selling new custom homes and home sites with the Beattey Company in Indianapolis, Indiana.
-7 years of property management experience (apartments and houses) with Regency Windsor in Indianapolis and Commercial Brokers in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Although I can help you with all of your residential real estate needs, here are a few of my specialties:
-New home construction
-Credit challenged home buyers
-Land for building a new home
Some things that I like to do when I have time are:
-Traveling - I try to go to a completely new place at least once a year.
-Drawing/designing new home plans - I love houses!
-Reading the news - I read constantly and from different news sources. I love knowing what's going on in the world.
Exploring new restaurants - I started a Dinner Party Club. We travel to different restaurants around Indiana (not chains) and try their specialties.
-Biking - I stay off the streets, but love biking on the miles of trails near my house.
-Hiking - Turkey Run State Park is one of my favorite local places to hike.
-Winery tours - I love wine and have traveled as far as Napa Valley to visit a winery.
A native Hoosier, Laurie grew up in Columbus, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with a BSN in Nursing. Prior to real estate, Laurie was a nurse for 15 years. She moved to Zionsville from the south side of INdianapolis because she fell in love with the Zionsville Community.
She takes her caring approach from nursing to all of her clients and loves to help them find their dream home. She is extreamly detailed and enjoys assisting her clients throughout the buying and selling process.
Laurie is an active athlete and is always on the go. You might find Laurie at the tennis courts or weightlifting with her husband. She has three children and they are equally as busy in the Zionsville school system. As a family, they love hiking and spending time oudoors in the country.
I enjoy helping folks sell their current home and find their next one. It's very satisfying for me to work with first time home buyers.
My family and I are active with our church, Meridian Street United Methodist, in Indianapolis . . . . I sing in the choir and we are heavily involved with the Interfaith Hospitality Network hosting homeless families at church several times each year. I enjoy volunteering in Zionsville with the annual Ghost Walk each October through the Sullivan Munce Cultural Center. I am currently serving on the Board of the Sullivan Munce (2014). I have served in various capacities in Zionsville with the Village Resident's Association. Finally, I was involved in our daughter's high school Rowing Team through the Indianapolis Rowing Center.
As a child, my family moved to several communities throughout the state of Indiana and built a new home in each town. My love of home construction started at an early age and I secured my contractors license when building my first home as an adult. Because of my interest and background in home construction, I bring added expertise to my clients when purchasing a home.
Beyond the Sale
"The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary"
I've always been taught to be dependable and consistent, and these are two important ingredients to success that I have implemented into my business. In my short time here on earth, I have found that there are more important things in life than just making money. I love helping people in any way I can and making a difference in the world. I have developed a strong philosophy of working hard and always staying truthful even when it is not the easiest option. I've always had a loving family to support me through the tough times and I could be happier where my life is headed.
"You have two hands. One is to help yourself, the second to help others."
I was born in northern Indiana, but moved just south of the Greenwood area when I was eight years old. My parents really taught me the importance of working hard, and also the importance of helping others and the only way to get what you want in life is to help others get what they want first.
I've been around the construction process since I was 17. It started when I decided to take a class that the school offered which was called building trades. It gave me a chance to see how houses were built, and gave me hands on experience. That class pointed me in the direction I wanted to take in life.
I started my career thinking I wanted to be an electrician, but that dream quickly diminished when I realized it was not something I was truly passionate about. At 19, I bought my first house and fixed it up and lived in it for about a year and then sold it. Then shortly after that I bought my second home which I fixed up as well, and moved into as well. So I realized that everything about homes really inspired me! Whether I was looking at "fixer upper" and seeing all the potential it had or looking at luxury homes online, I got excited about all the possibilities real estate had to offer.
Nathan Baurley is a talented agent with an eye for detail. Throughout his professional career, he strives to stay at the top of his industry while maintaining a focus on honesty, integrity, providing exceptional service, and utilizing the latest industry technology.
Prior to real estate, Nathan was a teacher for more than 11 years. He is still a teacher at heart, but now uses his education background to help his clients understand the details of a real estate transaction.
He also has worked most of his life in his father's home improvement business. His home improvement knowledge serves him well as a REALTOR® to help his clients imagine possibilities with existing homes.
When not selling homes, Nathan spends time with his wife and three children. He's always on the go. While not working, his wife keeps him busy with home improvement projects to check off from her Pinterest board.
DeWayne is excited to have the opportunity to join Team Perry. He comes to us with sixteen years experience in the financial services industry. Most recently the past 11 plus years with JPMorgan Chase bank. During his tenure with Chase he has been very active with employee resource groups in fact he started and was the state chairman of the Indiana chapter of the Chase PRIDE group which is the employee resource group representing the LGBT community. He is also active in INDY pride and Out and Equal.
When he is not at work he is an avid college football and basketball fan and also enjoys the NFL specifically the Colts. He lived in Florida for over 15 years and while he was there he became a huge Florida Gators fan and went to many many games including the national championship game in New Orleans.
Currently he lives downtown Indy but will be moving to the Greenwood area where the majority of his family resides. He is very close to his family and they spend much of their free time together. He also has a 14 year old Corgi mix rescue dog named Dru that is probably the most spoiled dog on the planet but gives back to DeWayne much more than is ever given to him.
I enjoy photography, hiking, camping, reading, and traveling in my spare time.
