I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. At the young age of 19, I joined the US Air Force to see the world and start a career in Information Technology as a software and network engineer. I lived and traveled to many amazing places including England, Italy, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Holland, and Morocco. I've also traveled all over the U.S. I particularly enjoyed Florida, Utah, and Colorado. I moved just about every 2 years during my Air Force career before I retired in 2000. A month after I retired, we moved our family to Florida. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Troy State and an MBA from University of Florida. My MBA portfolio capstone study was based on the residential home building industry. My husband is a civil and environmental engineer, a licensed FL Contractor, and built homes for a number of years before he was hired at Eglin AFB in the USAF Research Lab. We share a love of home building and really enjoy the real estate industry. After I retired from the USAF, I transitioned into the Defense Contractor sector as an IT Executive. But, after 31 years with the Department of Defense, I decided to change gears and follow my passion in real estate. There is nothing better than finding someone their dream home!
We feel incredibly blessed to live in vacation land! We live on the water in Niceville in a home my husband designed and built for us. Our family enjoys taking our boat out for fishing and water skiing voyages with friends. We are absolutely amazed at all the wildlife in the area - both in the gulf and on the Eglin AFB reservation. One of our favorite things to do is watch the baby Ospreys fly from their nests for the first time. Just fantastic! I am an active member of the Eglin AFB Chiefs Group and am involved in many local charities including one of my very favorites, Toys for Tots. Growing up in a family that owned steakhouses in Ohio, I love to cook and my husband really likes to eat. So, that works out great! My last name is sometimes a challenge to pronounce - so just call me Mary G!
