"My son was not an A student and sometimes struggled everyday whether he didn't like the course study or teacher, in result not doing very well and his guidance councelor worked with us over the summer and his Senior year he worked hard, along with medicine and he was able to graduate with his class. I thank his guidance councelor and my sons determination. When your child doesn't like school and has a hard time to it a very stressful four years for both student and parents"

"My experience with my son. The teachers have their learning plan and only spend a certain amount of time on any given subject If a student is out sick, like my son was for a month, most teachers told the student that they would have to talk to other students regarding notes. When you miss a month of school and you are only given a few weeks to make up work and still stay current, was very difficult. Lacking in compassion in this situation"

"I found that most of the teachers cared very much about the students they taught. However, i also felt that the material was very basic. In addition to the lack of specialization in the curriculum it seemed as though the teachers were not competent in dealing with special needs children who needed more assistance. They were not given help with their learning, they were given answers. Those students who were capable of completing their homework and classwork independently were taught well. Outside of classroom and overall they made an effort to assist their students with guidance issues and career choices. Some of the teachers were very overqualified and had trouble relating to kids in a classroom environment and bringing their knowledge to the comprehension of the students. Some other teachers allowed their personal lives to interfere with their teaching, but the majority were competent, kind, and eager to bestow knowledge upon their students."

"I feel really good about my decision to go to college. I am the determined to be the first in my immediate family to get a degree, and although I don't feel as though my high school gave me very much "real world" experience, it taught me that I shouldn't be afraid to try to achieve the things that I want."
