"Lexington High School is a challenging school. It provides rigorous courses that can have a large workload. Students spend hours doing homework and studying. It prepares you quite well for college because of it's harder course work."

"The students work hard and push each other to succeed. Community and family pressure also contribute to making this one of the most successful public high schools in the country. Main academic teachers are hit-or-miss, so the academics really do come from outside-the-classroom learning and incentives. Extracurricular teachers (especially the music department, the robotics team, the debate team, and student government advisors) are incredible. However, the school suffers from extreme mental health problems (especially stress, anxiety, and depression) and stratification/worth based on intelligence. There is no doubt that it prepares nearly all of its students to thrive in the best colleges in the world. However, the tolls this community has taken on its children are immense and desperately require attention."

"Lexington High really prepared me for college in many ways and has allowed me to get ahead on several courses in my curriculum. It's given me many opportunities such as foreign exchange trips, AP/Honors Classes and volunteer experience. The staff are always incredibly friendly and the teachers are always very invested in their students' education. There are also many clubs and there are always opportunities for students to help their community. The only downside is that the school isn't as diverse as many would like it to be and the atmosphere is incredibly competitive and seems to get more intense every year."

"I think overall going to LHS helped me prepare for the real world; however, in some ways I feel like it over prepared me! Which isn't necessarily a negative thing. I had so many amazing teachers who supported me through my time there and provided recommendation letters for various programs I applied to. The food wasn't bad either, compared to the other high school I went to for a year."

"Lexington High School provides great opportunities in all subjects. The school runs many clubs ranging from Robotics Club, Math team, Science Olympiad, to Guitar Club. The classes are rigorous and has many AP classes but it prepares students well for college."
