"Very cut throat, but if you get a good teacher they make the year."

"Regardless of how many bad professors there are, no matter how exhausted we were from day one, we got no sleep and as we got deeper into the semester we got even less sleep (i mean running on 2 hours in 3 days and that isn't even the worst) and more stress, regardless of all of that I would still do it again. This experience has been nothing but difficult and exhausting, but I would do it again. Call me crazy, but FIT made me who I am today. Life is tough so I should be too."

"OMG this is the hardest school! If you need help you will get it if you advocate for yourself. Very heavy workload, but teachers can be understanding for special circumstances (sick, death in family)."

"Racially/economically it isn't diverse, but pretty accepting."

"FIT has very high reviews and I believe each student's experience is different. The teachers, however, are not professional teachers, they come from the industry so they know a lot, but they are most of the time incapable of sharing their knowledge. Getting a good professor is pure luck, which you could say about any college, but there aren't many good teachers to pick from, more over their judgement is absolutely subjective, so if I had a great experience with a teacher it doesn't mean another student would. No teacher would help a failing student. Thankfully I was not one of them, but a few of my friends have gotten sick and missed a few assignments/ classes and their grades have drastically dropped while teachers refused to see them. I myself have spent my first semester on crutches (I had a tumor in my knee) I couldn't miss a class without loosing my reputation in the eyes of my teachers, yet doctors could see me only during class hours. Missing 2 classes would have made my term grade drop by a hole grade! So I had to run to doctors between classes putting more pressure on my bad knee, and cutting my time short. I haven't gotten in any trouble at school but at what cost?! No student should be in so much stress, scared to loose reputation over a missed class; cmon! I have had experience with over 20 professors and a good 95% of them judge you by subjective traits, whether you remind them of an ex or you wear the wrong shade of lip gloss anything is enough for a teacher to turn her back on you and there is no turning around from that. Rumors will spread out before you get the benefit of a doubt.I do hope somebody find this useful, and somebody fixes the following issue: Professors that have senior don't have to collect feedback from students which allows them to do all the unprofessional things in the classroom, because even if you do report them, no one can do anything about it."
