"I loved this school. Because of it I was exposed to what I am most passionate about and that has in turn lead me to my current college choice and major and I would not choose another experience if I were able to"

"The school serves over 20 districts from around the state. There is a strong presence of social responsibility, and the curriculum centralizes around important and real time issues with human rights, social justice, and environmental sustainability."

"There is a culture of excellence and devotion among the staff at school. They make many personal sacrifices for the sake of students, including enormous time commitments, spending personal money on supplies, and even spending their own time after school to give students rides home if needed."

"This school is an excellent place in regards to student culture and diversity. Students are from all over the state, including the city, which results in a larger racial diversity than most districts. In addition, the community as a whole is very accepting of people who fall under the gender and sexual minority (lgbtq+). Certain groups of friends can be more competitive than others, so peer pressure really depends on who you decide to hang out with."

"Going to a small school will always have its downsides. A district school would allow me to have a larger group of friends, and to have some who lived closer to me instead of 20-40 minutes away. However, I have always found the teachers to be phenomenal and exceptionally dedicated to their work and the students. It is easy to obtain clarification, or extra help if necessary, and the built in school-wide study hall at the end of the day is certainly useful for meeting with teachers. In addition, the academics are both compelling and interesting, and we go on multiple field work experiences that reinforce and deepen classroom learning."
