"There isn't much diversity. The students are mostly white, upper middle class kids. There are definitely some minorities and some LGBT kids. They aren't bullied or anything - there isn't much bullying I noticed in my 4 years. At worst, "weird" kids will be ignored or simply politely acknowledged by popular kids. There is some peer pressure for drinking/drugs if you go out on the Narragansett social scene, but if you have any backbone it's not too hard to say no. People aren't hounding you or making fun of you or anything. For spirit week preceding homecoming, everybody participates! We all get dressed up each day and go crazy on spirit day where we wear our grade's color and compete on the football field. Spirit week is so much fun and the teachers and students are all involved."

"The classes are mostly basic high school classes, but there are fun extracurriculars. The teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. There are regular classes and accelerated classes, as well as AP courses offered. (AP US History, AP Biology, AP Physics are the most popular). The workload is heavy, but manageable. NHS has a great, unique agriscience program where students can take classes that teach them about gardening and raising animals. We have chickens and a greenhouse. I highly recommend this program."

"As far as high schools go, Narragansett is one of the best. The teachers are awesome. The classes are informative and interesting. I was part of an environmental club called Envirothon where we won the state competition and went to Missouri for the national competition! I was part of the book club and the swim team. The teachers are involved in these clubs and sports and really want students to succeed, both academically and personally. The students are not very diverse, mostly white christian/no religion. However, most are accepting and tolerant of those different than them. There are preppy popular athletes, but there are also a wide range of different people (smarties, stoners, art kids, etc). I wouldn't want to repeat high school, but Narragansett is a great high school with caring teachers and great academics."

"There are a lot of choices given to students for such a small school."
