"Centered right in the middle of Freeport, Freeport High School is perfectly located. Before and after school, a significant number of students walk or ride their bikes to school, and is walking distance to the closest starbucks, ice cream shoppes, etc. The school dynamic is incredible. Everyone is kind and accepting, and we encourage everyone to be themselves and to be proud of it. The teacher's goals are directed to not only help you learn, but help you become independant and prepared for real-life situations. Even though not all of our sports are the best, they are continuing to flourish. We have had state championship wins for cross country, indoor and outdoor track, as well as nordic and alpine skiing. Most basketball games bleachers are packed with students who come out and support their classmates, friends, and community."

"Overall, the school is a nice welcoming place. The grading system isn't the best, and some of the teachers aren't that great. They try to keep a positive attitude towards everything, which is nice when all you hear is complaints from other students. It would be nice to stay on one grading system and keep it that way. Maybe pertain to all of the students instead of the majority in classes, that way the subject is changed to something others would like to do. Again, the school is nice and welcoming, but the interior needs major work and needs it badly."

"I almost didn't go to Freeport High School, but I am so glad that I did. I met some of my best friends there, and 98% of the teachers there are amazing. The facilities are under construction right now (of course, the first year after I graduate!) and are becoming much better. This school has great academics and great athletics. It's a small school, which makes everything more personal. Of course, every school has its quirks, like being located in the middle of an outdoor mall and being full of handpainted murals, but that just makes it more fun overall."

"My experience at Freeport High School has been pretty good. I have been through many school districts so I know what it's like to be in a school where you don't feel like the teachers care if you succeed. Freeport High School has a supportive environment and many teachers and staff who I have developed strong connections with. This school has provided me with many opertunities and set me up for success"
