"This high school isn't an overall amazing school. Great friendly helpful staff, hard working students, interesting classes and extra curriculares for everyone."

"The thing about Sanford High School is it is what you make of it. Some of the teachers a phenomenal and inspire you. Others not so much. Really, though, you'll get out what you put in. Join a club, a sport, the band. Get involved and you'll feel like a real part of the school. Want to do great things academically? Take the hard classes. At times the administration will definitely frustrate you and guidance might feel useless, but that's when you have to do it yourself. Get involved and I guarantee despite the falling apart building and frustrating policies, you'll have some great memories. The best thing I can say about Sanford High School is that it teaches you to do the best you can with what you have."

"One positive aspect is the array of clubs and sports Sanford High School offers. As a student, I had the ability to participate in several of these, as well as band. However, Sanford is lacking in many aspects. The amount of AP, Honors and languages was very limited (this may have changed since I attended, as I graduated in 2013). The building is also poor quality. After freshman year, most of my classes took place in portable buildings (trailers). The hallways were very narrow, and the building itself is in not in great shape. The teachers were great in my experience, but I had friends who had various opinions, depending on who the teacher was. All in all, my experience was not great, but I tried to make the best of it by pursuing the academic and organizational opportunities presented to me."

"I have gone to Sanford High School all 4 years of my high school life. There are pros and cons to every school and this one definitely has some. What I liked most about this school was how easy it is for you to pick classes according to what you wanted to go to college for. Also, how involved some of the teachers are. If you had any questions regarding to college or needed any help figuring it out most of them are more than willing to help out. What I disliked the most about this school was scheduling worked. In order to take certain classes you want you'd have to drop others that you wanted because the scheduling would over lap. All in all it was a pretty good 4 years and the school is on the better end of the spectrum, I would say."

"It is a very friendly environment, but the academics are highly lacking. This is a school that is mostly centered around its sports teams."
