"It was a small school with only around 430 kids in all there, I had a graduating class of 86 making it very freindly and a sort of tight based community."

"My experience at Oak Hill was a unique one, my grade were the guinea pigs so to speak. We had a lot of new teachers coming in as well as switching to a Customized Learning system. The people and teachers there are very helpful and you can tell that you want you not only succeed but thrive."

"This school needs improvement. It's so discouraging with all the time we waste on tests like star360, and homework, which isn t graded. The math department is a joke, most students attending have failed a math class in their high school career because of our use of customized learning. The English classes are more reasonable, but still an extreme workload. This school needs more class options to keep students interested. Other than that, the food selection is very limited, with small portions. Many of the teachers care about their students who put in an effort. They do a decent job preparing us for college, and there are many opportunities to help, you just have to seek them out for yourself. It's often very cold inside the school, even in the summer. Some sports programs are great, while other sports don't have as much support. I often feel that I could've been more successful at another school with more people and opportunities, and less favoritism."

"Noticeably prejudice to catering to the kids with families that are 'well off' and not so much for those that are considered the 'awkward and unique'. There are only 2-3 teachers who are accepting and nurturing to all of their students."

"Oak Hill High School, we have good sports teams, some good clubs, and good college opportunities. However, I would like to see the way we are taught changed. Many schools are trying to switch to customized learning, but I don feel it is really working in our school. We don't get any direct teaching and sometimes the teachers won't help you at all. They tell us to go back to our notes or go watch more videos. If we say we don't understand, they ask us, "What don't you understand?", if we don't understand at all what we are supposed to be learning they often times won't just teach it to us. We need more direct teaching and explanations especially when it comes to math. Many of the other departments in our school are alright, they aren't geared so much towards "customized learning". That is the major flaw I see in my high school, our teachers have a lack of knowledge about how to teach us the proper way for it to be considered customized learning."
