"My family went in with high hopes. My daughter had a truly outstanding kindergarten teacher but the schools constant demand for goods, money, donations and THE AUCTION was outrageous. It is a simple parochial school - the tuition and lack of programs remind you that it's not a private school. It's Fairfield Public School with weekly mass and religion classes as part of the curriculum. Be warned everyone loves St Thomas Aquinas until there is a problem. For every great teacher there are 5 that are mediocre."

"I would never send a child here after our overall experience. It started out OK, but this year it's plummeted. The teachers are nice enough (some of them) but the curriculum is stale and the facility outdated. The library is barren. No real technology to speak of (which is not all that important, but worth noting) . The first years here were fine when my child was younger, but over the years the school culture changed to nastiness in the girls and disrespect for both authority and girls in the boys. There are hardly any outside activities and unless you are hugely into basketball, no real sports program. In the end I think for the early years it's OK -- but by the time middle school hits, the bullying and behavior issues take over despite the principals strong handed ways. In part it's due to a lack of respect for the kids, and constant reprimands in my observations."

"Some of the teachers here truly care and make themselves available outside of class. Others seem tired. At worse, one male teacher spent all his time on his cell phone, showing the kids movies, and not teaching to any set curriculum and giving the kids tests to which had had not taught the content."
