"My experience at Union City High School was pretty good. The teachers were helpful whenever you needed a question answered, and the students are friendly once you get to know them. The one thing that I liked most about this school is that it was extremely focused on academics. This made a lot of students try harder in school and make better grades. There wasn't really anything that I disliked about the school."

"Union City is a school located in the center of a urban city, filled with a mostly Hispanic community. So far, I'm enjoying my high school experience with great teachers, students and facilities. This school offers a wide variety of in-school and after school activities for all types of students. UCHS does try it's best to suit student needs, but when it comes to college readiness or graduation their energy is invested in only the "academically inclined". Students that struggle at home find it hard to have a lot of their needs met, even with all available resources some students just need a little more aid to graduate. This doesn't fall on the student, its just the fault of counslers and teachers that do not wish to handle students any further and dismiss the "most problematic"."

"As with all high schools, there are some teachers who are, when put kindly, not my favorite. There are students who lack motivation and as a result end the year with poor marks on their report cards. The lunch in the AEA is unpleasant, but the main building has multiple stations in which the food can actually be quite pleasant. My favorite part of my school is that it remains riddled with opportunity, all you have to do is make it known that you desire something. As long as you work hard and tirelessly for that goal, teachers, advisors, and staff will assist you and help to reach that goal. They will work without end to find a scholarship allowing you to afford your dream college, create your own club, or even get an internship that will get you accepted into multiple colleges."

"After three years of attending Union City High School, I can say I will strongly miss many of the experiences I have had therel. I have had several teachers take an interest in my future, such as Ms. Smith (Biology) and Mrs. Moreno (SHRP). They have highly influenced how I prepared for my future. Throughout my high school career, I have taken several health-related courses in the SHRP (School of Health-Related Professions) program, which have prepared me for my career. This program is one of the many aspects of the school that I like. After school, I stay in class with either Mrs. Moreno, Dr. Garcia (SHRP), or Mr. Yankovich (AP Calculus) to work on assignments. This has helped me stay focused and get my work done in an efficient and timely manner. One thing I would like to see change about the school is the printers. Printing is always an issue in the school because printers are always in need of repair. This has caused me much distress when I needed to print assignments."

"I felt like this school really cared about my education. I felt at home with most people I attended school with."
