"The Alpine School is really a private school with public tax dollars..the ratio of staff to student is one of the best in the state...The leadership is strong with a challenging academic environment...Many children from this school go on to High School and stand at the top of their classes.. Small schools have certain issues different from big schools but the good far outweighs the bad ..it is an excellent schools ...one the town should be proud of"

"Great public school that is similar to a private school. Well funded school so they have resources in computers, books, arts, music, and languages. Teacher to student ratio is idea for students who don't mind the one on one interaction. This gives the student to opportunity to really learn the material. In an affluent area so the community involvement is generous with donation in time and monetary gifts. People who complain should note that this school spend about two to three times more per child than schools from out of state. You're going to have your clicks but in general this school is one of the best in the state of NJ if not in the country."

"Tiny little place, with a lot of in-fighting. The children are disciplined improperly. Teachers yell, scream and drag students out of the class. The principal, although superficially nice, is actually cold and calculating person, who only cares about the board. The board, in turns, only cares about projecting the solid reputation. Curricula is stagnant, kids are petrified of their teachers."

"A terrific school with dedicated teachers adn a committed administration. Small enough for kids to get a lot of individual attention."

"I agree with the most recent review. If your liked by the principal, its fine. If you complain justifiably about the awful behavior between the teacher to the children, she does nothing about it, then doesn't treat you very nice. She apparently is very friendly with the teachers, and defends them always, so they get away with treating the children however they like. Being that there are very little students, because most of them have left, they should really close down the school and let the children go to one of the many great elementary schools in the surrounding areas."
