"MAST is a unique high school experience that's great for all academic fields, not just science and engineering. It's not perfect, and it's still high school, but I would definitely recommend MAST over the local high schools."

"I absolutely love the Marine Academy of Science and Technology and honestly would not change much about it. The school's small size gives students the opportunity to learn in a close environment with teachers. All teachers know their students personally so that the highest level of understanding may be achieved. The student diversity is very low from an ethnic standpoint and moderate from a socioeconomic standpoint. The Marine Academy fully prepares students for post-secondary education. The school's clubs have positive benefits towards learning while still remaining fun and challenging for participants. Sports teams are not available at the Marine Academy, so students may play sports for their respective sending districts. Students mostly come from all parts of Monmouth County, whereas some individuals attend the school while living in Middlesex County and other New Jersey counties."

"A wonderful school and experience. Challenging, yet the organizational and other skills that are acquired with your years at MAST will benefit you for the rest of your life. From a beautiful campus to proactive students and helpful teachers, MAST is the perfect fit for any student who is up for the challenge and wants to do well in the future."

"I love MAST, and don't think I would be happier anywhere else. The campus is so close to the beach that sometimes we have classes there. The campus is beautiful but I would not say it is the most accessible. It's a long bus ride for almost every student, and being so far away from the rest of the city I cannot imagine the last time MAST Way was paved. Any time it rains, half of the street, which cuts the campus approximately in half, floods. The NJROTC aspect is not nearly as bad as everyone thinks it is. One major downside of the school is that there are no sports teams. Many students play sports at their home high school, but arrive to practice late or have to leave school early to make it to games on time. The classes are fun, most teachers are understandable, and the school is small enough to know everyone like a big family."

"MAST is academically challenging and you learn a lot. You are required to be part of the Jr. Navy ROTC. The food in the cafeteria is great! If you want to participate in sports you need to join a team at your "home" high school."
