"Great school! Employs NJ Teacher of the Year 2007. Hands on - community connected. More homework than neighboring Wolf Hill/ Maple Place which is good for preparing our children for the new world economy. I spend time doing homework with my children instead of everybody sitting around watching TV. I want a strong foundation of education for my children and Monmouth Beach Elementary School delivers."

"This school is good. Not great, not bad, but good. And that, pun possibly intended, is a good thing. The general vibe is a positive one, and that counts for a lot. Some of the teachers are very good, but a couple are too jaded to be teaching children anymore. One in particular should be shown the door, yet they let the person stay on. The administration is friendly and receptive, but they are also prone at times to "lip service", meaning they'll sound concerned and say they'll do something when a parent raises an issue, but then nothing happens. If you are looking for a "great" education, and think that the best teachers and lots of homework define great, then this is not for you. If you are looking for a happy medium where kids can enjoy school, the teachers are generally good, kids get the basics, and you don't expect perfection, then this is a perfect place. And that's why our kids are there. They are happy, and that's a very good thing."

"There are advantages to being in a small school, we all know. The biggest advantage to this school is the caring and completely engaged faculty and administration who act as your child's family in your absence."
