Topic: Overall Experience
"DHS is a very unique high school. There are several activities we have that other schools may not. Our Homecoming consists of a week long race between the four grades on things such as food drives, coin race, color day, theme day, and many more. By the end of the week, we have the pep rally on that Friday, to see which grade has the most spirit. Although, it seems to be a huge rivalry week between the four grades, its an unforgettable week filled with lots of fun. Also throughout the week, at night time, each grade comes up with skits and building a float to go along with the theme they are assigned that year. The Saturday morning of Homecoming Week is when we parade down one of the main roads in Delran, throwing candy to young kids, chanting, and showing off our costumes and float. As we arrive to the high school, we all line up on the track while the stadium is filled with alumni, papers, family, and friends. Each grade presents their skits. Homecoming King and Queen are announced as well as the winners of Spirit week. Being apart of DHS Homecoming is an unforgettable experience. If I could go back to High school and do it all over again, I really would. High school was so far the best four years of my life. Although, it is very cliche to say that, its the truth. DHS gave me so many memories, opportunities, and friends that will last a life time."
"The teachers at DHS are wonderful. The teachers have all different types of teaching styles to engage students and make learning more fun. Teachers play games, do projects, play videos, and interact with students. No teacher will give you a boring lecture. All the teachers are down-to-earth. If you had a problem, about anything, you could always talk to a teacher and they would be there for you to listen. Students develop good relationships with their teachers throughout their time at DHS. Teachers give many opportunities for students to succeed. Most teachers are also available for giving students extra help."
