"All of the teachers have thier days, some are more excited and engaged than others but we have to deal with that as students right?"

"I don't believe that this school is the worst but it could be better."

"The math program is excellent. The school offers algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, pre-calculus, advanced algebra, calculus, and statistics. A lot of dual-enrollement classes are offered. There is a strong connection with RVCC."

"This school is very unique in the way it is run. The way in which the school's funding is managed is very controversial. The superintendent wants to fire the school aids who are under-paid, but he has hired not one, but two vice principals who are paid over 100k annually. With a school as small as it is and the demographics it embodies, it does not require the amount of administration that the school currently has in place. Many parents and students feel that nepotism has a strong presence throughout the school. Many feel that this hinders the ability for other students who exemplify qualities much stronger for certain positions the ability to uphold said positions. It seems to be that students who obtain connections with higher authority receive special privileges. The school used to have a period 11 to help students who were falling behind, but removed it and extended the school day which gets in the way of after school activities especially sports. Most clubs were forced to move their meetings to the morning. Each class was extended 5 minutes which does not make a difference. Teachers now leave right when the last period is over and don't have to stay. My child passed sophomore year thanks to the extra period(period 11) and now is struggling. All these examples go to show how poorly decisions are made in the school. The board of education and administration does not care about the opinion of parents or students. They don't evaluate all outcomes and possibilities. Parents and teachers voice their opinions, but nothing is changed. Besides that, Bound Brook High School has improved academically. They offer dual-enrollment and AP coarses. There are very few students who actually care about their grades and going to college. Students should be more motivated to excel. School spirit is basically inexistent primarily due to the strict rules that are in place. The guidance department is very helpful and interactive."

"My past four years in this school have been a roller coaster ride. I came in as a freshman trying to explore all the opportunities bound Brook high school had to offer. Now that it is my senior year I found my self only liking a handful of clubs. Now, I am ready to move on from this school and move on to bigger and better things."
