"The workload at my old school was very steep which is one of the reasons I moved to Goshen. My old friends are always complaining about homework and they're always staying up late just to get it done. Most of them are unhealthlly stressed out which makes more all the more thankful that I don't have to spend that much time so that I can do other clubs and get a job. The amount of homework I get is perfect when you're trying to balance other activities in your schedule as well."

"What makes this school unique is the love and diversity of the arts. There are many clubs and classes like photography, OVA, stage crew, drama, science Olympiad, drawing/painting and much more. I've never been in another school with this many extracurricular options. It opens up the students to learn new activities and make friends with people they thought they'd never be friends with. The clubs and diverse classes bring together students with a common interest and creates an unbreakable bond that they'll remember forever."

"Most teachers want you to learn the materials well enough so you can adequately relate to the materials and can understand the class. The teachers also gear you towards getting good scores on the regents and tests so that you can move on to the next course. This laid back attitude usually only applies to non-honors/AP classes because the kids in that class aren't going to be spending their academic career studying that subject so it's okay to treat it as a requirement. To balance this, in a sense, they have challenging AP and honors classes for the more advanced students that take an interest in the subject. Those teachers who teach the advanced classes know you care about the it so they spend more time on the materials."

"Acceptance towards members of the lgbtq community is overwhelmingly gratifying. We have even have wonderfully driven club that participates in certain holidays through school awareness and the arts. The students are extremely accepting and caring. I remember coming out day where they decorated the hallways in every color and almost all the students showed their support through wearing different clothes that symbolized their support. It makes me grateful every time I think about it."

"The teachers at Goshen Central High School were okay. There were only a select few that would really devote their time and, for example, miss their one break to help better a student. Most teachers give off a judgmental or a non approachable front. However, to those few teachers that do strongly care, the students feel more engaged and willing to learn in that class."
