"Great academics, they definitely prepared me for college. Teachers are always willing to help and they are a great help. We have good sports, performing arts, and visual arts programs that keep us busy outside of doing homework. And to top it off, the food is great. Our food is probably one of the best out of all the NYC private schools, and the kitchen staff is awesome."

"My two children (11th and 9th graders) have been at Berkeley Carroll for 8 years and have thrived. We moved our kids to the school because of the small class size, student to teacher ratio and the warmth of the school community. From lower school through middle school and now to upper school we have been more and more impressed with the academic rigor and the way the school has challenged our children at the level that was right for them. Our kids come home excited to talk about their classes and the discussions they have in class with classmates and teachers alike. The school's administration and faculty provide a stimulating and demanding, dynamic environment that is at the forefront of innovation. The school "inspires critical, ethical and global thinking" and we see that in our children and their school peers. We are excited to see where our children go from the strong foundation they have built through their work at Berkeley Carroll."

"I have two kids enrolled in the middle school (6th grade and 5th grade) and we ve been at the school for over five years. I remember Amanda Pike, who was Lower School admissions director when we applied (now she is the head of the Lower School), say during a tour that they really get to know your kids at Berkeley Carroll. Within a short period of time, I realized just how true that was: the teachers and administrators had really gotten to know each of my children as individuals. The atmosphere is supportive, yet also academically rigorous. A quick word on facilities. The lower school facility and pool are really top notch. The middle and upper school building on Lincoln has some construction now, but promises to be pretty great when complete. A new performance space on Sterling Place is so nice that my daughter told me she was going to have to practice more before performing there for the first time (it just opened last year)."

"I am the mother of two boys and we have been part of the Berkeley Carroll community for 8 years. We are very happy with the school's mission and its focus on critical and ethical thinking. My children are engaged in many activities - my middle schooler plays in the jazz band, is a student ambassador and plays multiple sports. He's fascinated by Math and Science and the strong academic programs keep him engaged. My lower schooler enjoys school so much that he asks to go to "early bird" every morning to play with his friends in the yard. His class was the first to participate in the Spanish immersion program and we can already see the proficiency. As a parent, I am also engaged in the vibrant community the school fosters - the welcoming and diverse population is open and reflects Brooklyn. I am impressed by the school's ability to innovate and adapt to its changing needs."
