"The majority of teachers seem genuinly concerned about the kids. the curriculum is alittle more challanging than middleschool was. They do put way too much emphasis on sports here. Kids who aren't athletic are left out. They even expect the community to pay for sports above the taxes we already pay. This really sends the wrong message to the kids.Sports should not be a priority in school or life."

"I have now had 2 sons graduate from Mepham. The teachers have always been outstanding and the guidance dept first rate. They have always been supportive and helpful. Now that there is a new principal I have high hopes that the school will return to a more disciplined way, and it seems it is, with students being held more accountable. Now if the parents of some of these students would stop worrying about how they look or what type of cars they drive and worry about their childrens well being and teach them respect it would work a lot faster..."

"This school is where my foundation for success began. The teachers and the enviroment were more then conducive for learning. I have found myself, extremely pleased to call myself a Mepham Alumni, and I give credit where credit is do, and thats is to the teachers and staff of this fine institution. They have prepared me for my work-load in college, and when I compare myself to other pupils who are struggling, I realize that I was beyond prepared for college. I truly, can not think of a better place to grow up then Bellmore-Merrick."

"This school is excellent. There are great sports and music programs. Since, there's new administration, they'll help us get back on track and be more disciplined. The teachers do care about you and they want you to pass and graduate. If a student has a problem, they could always go to their guidance councelor for support. Guidance is very supportive of the whole student body. All students and teachers are like a family, in which they watch out and take care for each other."
