"Catskill high school was a small high school, with a lot of character. We didn't have many of the usual sports teams that a larger high school might have, however this school did offer me a lot of opportunities to learn and do extra curricular activities anyway. A program that we did have that I enjoyed was called Odyssey of the Mind. This program was a club that put students into teams, and taught us about creative problem solving, and it was a blast. Each team got a long-term problem that we needed to solve in a certain amount of time, using the criteria listed, and then present our solution in the form of a skit along with many other teams from different schools. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life, and not many schools offer it, so I was glad mine did."

"This school has an extreme level of bullying. Reporting to the principal, or even higher up has done nothing to help protect innocent kids. Its mostly because the student pays attention in class."

"Many teachers only care about students getting a passing grade, even if that means the students don't understand the subject. Teachers compete for the end of the year bonus for which class had the highest passing rate in their class, and some teachers purposely pass students to get this bonus."

"Our school offers a wide range of extracurriculars which really shape your individual experience. I've enjoyed being a part of the Oydssey of the Mind team, being in the musical productions, being a member of band and chorus as well as Interact and National Honor Society."
