"I came to Odyssey Academy, a suburban public school, from a school in the city where I had grown up in. At first, I was very shocked, culturally. It was very different than my previous school, and the learning expectations were times 10. The staff, teachers, and students at Odyssey Academy helped ease me into the academic norms. Once adjusted, I had a clear vision of what I needed to do to succeed. And surely, my parents, my teachers, and the staff at school were there to make it as smooth, yet effective, as possible. The students at Odyssey, as well as myself, have countless opportunities. I wish I had been at Odyssey from the beginning."

"The teachers at Odyssey Academy are tremendously dedicated. They work tirelessly to ensure our academic success, and encourage us to step beyond what we think we're capable of. They teach us in a way which applies to our learning styles, and use techniques where we learn - and not just remember. I can say confidently the education I am receiving at Odyssey Academy is not only Grade-A, but realistic and easily applicable to real life circumstances."

"I went there before the new (now old) principal took over. I was there in it's prime, while the school district decided that they were going to fix what was not broken. The new building could have been such a blessing but instead of having more space fore creativity and freedom, they shackled the students and staff in so as to avoid trouble. Now they have trouble, and there is not much that can be done about it because of the union and all of the rules in place. Odyssey does not need to be revamped but it needs to be rewound. Take the staff members that have been there from the beginning and hear them out on what could be done differently."

"The courses offered at Odyssey are very demanding and teaches kids what works and what doesn't work for them. Productivity, character and success is what programs, such as the IB Diploma and AP courses starting at 9th grade, strive to teach and are successful at conveying. The teachers within these courses are beyond dedicated and passionate and very knowledgable in what students need to do in order to be successful. Because of this, many graduates feel very much prepared when entering the college or real world. There is a strong athletics and music department. Sometimes sports is more highlighted than theater and music, but music within Odyssey stands independently by itself. Notable and qualified teachers have given Odyssey's music department the opportunity to highlight student talents and awards. Although there has been tension between Odyssey's "old and new" community ever since the building move, there is still a decent amount of students willing to put in the time and effort to be successful."
