"The students at this school were part of the reason I didn't have an amazing experience. I found that there were a lot of "cliques" so it was hard to branch out from your friend group. The administration was chaotic most of the time and during my 4 years there, I had several different principals. The administration wasn't very kind to the students and they killed the spirit of the students by not letting us participate in certain traditions to show our spirit. It was such a disappointment."

"Students will always find something to complain about, but what they don't realize is that any change that takes place is in their best interest. I'm very lucky to go to such a great high school and others should be as well."

"The teacher types vary drastically between each individual. There are some teachers who really love their jobs and their kids and are willing to do whatever it takes to help their students reach their full potential but there are some teachers who really don't care too much and just want to get the through their lesson plan so they can go home. It's a hit or miss with the teachers at this school."

"As a senior, I think it's nearly impossible to go through State High and not have a favorite teacher. Much like students, every teacher has their own style which adds to the diversity among the student and staff population. There's a variety of flipped classrooms, hands-on activities, computer work, and real life learning going on in the classrooms and, on occasion, outside. However, there is a possibility of encountering a teacher that doesn't connect with the students. They don't interact, they don't put effort into expanding the student's education. These kind of teachers are rare, but still possible to come by at State High."

"As I said earlier, your experience with academics varies based on what teacher you get. If you get a teacher who loves their job and teaches well, you will learn a lot. But if you get a teacher who doesn't really care and is just there to grade your tests/essays then you might not learn too much. The workload is manageable but I wish they put more emphasis on real life situations in their curriculum such as paying taxes or dealing with a student loan etc."
