"It's a mixed bag a lot of the time. Some teachers are super friendly and will absolutely help you out if needed, others will only stay until the required time, then split as soon as it's up. Teachers themselves range from having been there since [insert long-ass amount of time] to just starting out (see: social studies wing). Grading is fairly standard across all classes, with a few variations here and there. Classes are fairly traditional, with the bulk of classes having a lecture-style learning environment. Teachers, for the most part, will hand students outlines, then have them fill them in as different powerpoint slides are presented. For every class (per semester), a writing assignment, an LDC/5-paragraph essay, is assigned and required to complete (don't worry, teachers don't really enjoy it either)."

"Many of the teachers at this school are relatable and fun-loving. The majority of them get along well with students and enjoy their work. I believe I have had some of the best teachers, but I also believe that there is always room for improvement!"

"Workload depends on the type of classes you take. Those who take AP classes can (obviously) expect to have a heavier workload than those who take all College-Prep courses. For CP level, workload is fairly light, unless you get a teacher who loads you down with work every night. Frankly, the curriculum/classes offered and the scheduling have gone the way of the dump. When I left in 2016, we were on a 5-period schedule, with lunch being the 2/3/4 period. To me, actually scheduling classes has remained somewhat easy, as you simply go online to do it. From what I've heard, some of the more popular classes are the hands-on ones like Wood- or Metal-working, or with fun/laid back teachers, such as Mrs. Heaton's 11th grade English class. Mind you, this may all change as I'm typing this down."

"The variety of classes offered at Palmyra is great. No one has a problem finding courses that they know they will enjoy. Although, not many students get into those classes. I understand classes fill up very quickly when it comes to scheduling, but maybe there is some way to open up places for those who are certain they want specific classes and know that they will excel in them."

"I've heard from my kids of some very creative ways that teachers are presenting material. The kids are actually learning and not just memorizing to get through the next test."
