"I believe that every school has one or two teachers who miss the mark in some way, shape, or form, but for the most part the teaching staff at Elk Lake is fabulous. The teachers are engaged not only in the students studying habits for their specific class, but they also care about how the individual is doing in their other classes as well. The relationships also extend beyond the classroom and merge into extracurricular and community involvement. The teachers offer guidance in all aspects of their students lives."

"This school has a friendly environment but an education program that is slightly lacking."

"Elk Lake was a very tiny high school and the elementary school was attached so all grades were really housed together and the population was very small too. I graduated with about 90 other students. This created a fantastic sense of community and belonging because teachers attended every sporting event as well as your church. However, the downfall to this tiny community was that I found college to be incredibly intimidating at first because of the the number of students I am with on a daily basis. I loved my high school but it sheltered me from large and diverse populations."
