"Great opportunities, great staff and great academic education. The students are very privileged, entitled, and insincere."

"Transferring to Highland School was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I experienced top notch sports teams, rigorous academia, and other fun activities like Spirit Week, pep rallies, and a true family bond. My senior year, our grade suffered many tough losses, including the loss of one of our classmates. Highland really bonded together and helped our class get through the hard times, which I never experienced at my first high school."

"Teachers at Highland School are truly "college prep" teachers. They often structure classes similar to what students can expect in a university setting, which is beneficial for future education endeavors."

"Highland School is dedicated to discovering and developing each and every student's gifts to the fullest. Every teacher is fully engaged with every student, and responsive (but not excessively reactive) to parent concerns and inquiries. I have seen Highland take a child with learning differences and serious communication challenges and turn her into a young woman who plays a lead role in every drama production and is confidently applying to top-level colleges. On the other end of the spectrum, my son who had high-level academic abilities but low motivation has received exactly the right mix of challenge and nurturing to become SELF-motivated to work above and beyond his potential."

"Highland's Head of School and division directors embarked 10 years ago on a mission to recruit and retain the best teachers they could find in every division and discipline. The result is a teaching staff that is completely dedicated to providing each individual student the appropriate level of challenge, nurturing, encouragement and discipline. As a result, Highland graduates are recognized throughout the community as models of character and leadership, and at college they are uniquely prepared for both the rigors and freedom of the university experience."
