"Coming into the school the athletics of course excited me the most. It felt good to know that I was going to a school with such a rich history. You have some teachers there, that genuinely care about you. However, there are also some there that should not be allowed to teach if they do not really have the heart to do so. Administrators here are also unorganized, they lose test scores. Hall monitors are more like peers. Fights are often."

"One thing that I like about my school, is the united feeling that the school gives. My school is very family-oriented, and that has made me proud to be a Dunbar Poet. I also love that my school has a various amount of programs and clubs that you could join. We offer a modeling club, a swim team, a volleyball team, poetry club, even unified bocce! One thing that i would like to see change would just be the amount of diverse students. Other than that, I eel that my school is one of the best that there is!"

"Many of faculty that actually took the time to build bonds with the students either were surplussed out or they left before things got worse in the school. Most remaining teachers are very rude and spiteful. They also put incorrect grades in their grade book and then have a "student helper" go back and fix it when they are too lazy to do so themselves. If a parent gets involved the teacher proceeds to make the rest of the year torture. It is a battle against the revenge of a spiteful adult. Also the principal herself, is nowhere to be found when students need her. The floors and walls, bathrooms and all are filthy and it seems like there is no real cleaning done during the day. Lastly the curriculum is not properly taught at all. I get sat in front of a book all week and then on Friday I take a test. There is no instruction just demand and if I do not force my struggling mind to deliver I know that I can and will most likely fail."
