"So far I have been having a pretty rough high school career. There are two schools in my county, one is the sports school and one is for basically everyone else. My close group of friends moved to the sports school while I was forced to stay because of my parents. Following being at a school I didn't want two be at I met a very unfriendly person who despises me for a reason that is beyond me. Even though I have never even kissed a boy at the time she made the whole school believe I had a STD and participated in prostitution. Since I had no friends at the time to support me since I was starting over basically most people tried to stay away from me and not talk to me and the rest of the people would make fun of me. This all happened in September and I thought after a couple weeks it would go away, then I thought it would be a couple months and it would go away and then it was after winter break and the problem did not seem to improve at all."

"Since Dorchester county is diverse it is easy to be friends with people outside of your ethnicity. What is harder for people to accept is the sexual orientation displayed by some students."

"Most teachers at my school try to do their best daily. However, there does seem to be a lot of difficulty with students overpowering the teacher especially the new ones. I do believe that they have thought out plans for each class but most the time they are not fulfilled due to distraction and a slow moving class. The slow moving class is more to blame on the fact that each student is placed in an honors class whether or not it is one of their capabilities therefore the class has to move at a slower pace to insure the entirety of the class stays together. I also believe that they try to communicate to the class but when other students are talking over the teachers it makes it more difficult to understand assignments and other instructions."

"The teachers at this school are either brand new teachers on their way out of this school system or older teachers that have seemed to build a tolerance for the school and students. I personally believe the PARCC curriculum has been difficult to transfer into since my graduating class had been under a different curriculum for all of elementary school and the majority of middle school. Its the basics that we missed that elementary students are now learning that are difficult to grasp. The scheduling isn't very good because we are on a ABC day rotation so some classes I see everyday and some I might only see twice a week. We are also given a very large workload so homework for most students isn't fully completed."
