"My favorite thing about Luray High School are the teachers. Almost all are kind and go out of their way to help students. They are very patient and helpful. The two things I don't like much about Luray would have to be the food and the opportunities. I realize it is a small town I just wish they offered more in the aspect of academics and clubs."

"The teachers are very detailed and they know how to teach. They make their a students success a priority and they will make time for whoever needs help. The teachers keep the classes in order and they take care of any distraction or problem that comes their way."

"For the most part, teachers at this school make it clear that they have favourites when it comes to students, but there are also the rare teachers who genuinely care for every student and are willing to help them with just about anything. There aren't really any cliques here and all the students generally get along with one another; however, there have been quite a few problems with bullying. Administration here at the school tends to look the other way. Classes at this school can either be very challenging or very easy, it just depends on whether you decide to pursue further education with dual enrollment credits or not. Some of the teachers are very helpful when it comes to helping you catch up with the curriculum if you don't quite grasp the concepts."

"A lot of the school functions depend on how close your parent is with the faculty member running the function. When I was in band, I was easily the best flutist in our section. I have won many awards and even made first chair multiple years in a row in our state band. However, because the mom of one of the flutists was constantly catering to the band director, she often got special privileges which were not earned. This is not the only school function in which this occurs, however."
