"Very diverse teachers, with great impacts on the student body as a whole."

"The school itself prepared me so little. The caliber of work that was assigned to us was third grade, regardless of the topic. It was presented as a memorize and regurgitate kind of game, where elsewhere you're given that set of tools and your problem and told to have fun with it. I was excited to go off to college post-high school, simply because I wanted to experience what "real school" was like. Of course, it was actually a rough start to acclimate to the new environment there. This would be me moving across a few state lines in order to live on my own for college, and I was ready. NCHS taught me exactly what I didn't want in a school."

"A few of the teachers, the ones I shall not name here, were impeccable. They absolutely knew their subjects and were happy to teach it. A few others were just like the high school students there: not really sure what to do, even though they have the "command." The last of the teachers would get frustrated and stop, which isn't fair when it's three of 21 people acting up. No one knew how to handle the day-in, day-out behavior of raucous students and so the rest of us had to suffer through it.There was little helpful communication, as well. For one math class we had pointed out the teacher did the problem incorrectly. Instead of checking the work, starts calling our understanding of mathematics into question. The school did not prepare me for going into college, but it's something you go through when you live there."

"If I could do it over again, I would not return to this school."

"Again I feel teachers have lost focus many likely need to retire. Swearing. ANd other inappropriate things common in sight and sound of students and far to much emphasis put on testing alone"
