"Academically, my school exceeds others by far. There is also a great about of time invested into the students and that is definitely shown by the tough love that they show us. There are a few things, such as the sports program, that can be improved, but overall Elijah House Academy has made me feel important and has prepared me for life."

"I like the foundation that our school has set on my life. I've been going to my school for 10 years and I gotta to tell you it was really worth it. When I first came to EHA I felt welcomed by the love and passion"

"As a student, students feel like teachers and staff are always trying to come after you. Generally, that is my experience since I have been at this school. But, overall , the school has very intense classes and homework, and if sports is also a responsibility then a student will most likely struggle, but most can pull through with the late nights. But, during Christmas and at the end of the year there are trips that are awarded to the students who have above average grades- A's, B's, C's, no demerits and have a great attitude in class and out of the classroom. These trips are usually places like Kings Dominion, Washington, DC, or even Swadders. The education level is challenging, but the students obtain a good foundation for post secondary education or even if they transfer elsewhere."

"As a student, overall teachers can sometimes answer a hard question, etc which is fine in a sense. Most of the teachers put ever situation in their point of view, and it seems like if a students has a different point of view it is wrong. That is where students struggle trying the compensate with teachers and they try to involve real life situations. Also, majority of the teachers, that teach me and other students, have one way of teaching, which is hard for students who cannot grasps a concept like everyone else. Sometimes, if the student cannot grasp an idea the teachers says they need to review it at home and move on. Usually, the student does not do that because they cannot understand the concept. Then the next day the teacher moves on into a completely different topic. This is a struggle for students and also is something that declines the student's grades throughout the year."
