"Overall quality is incredible knowledgeable teachers but the Chromebooks let some teachers get lazy. I wish everyone worked on Mrs. Rookstool's system of a flipped classroom with all the information for tests and things a month out. Teachers often given1-2 days to study for a test which is unacceptable!!"

"Most of the instructors really care about the students in their courses. Although some instructors are quite indifferent, most engage the students in such a way that they learn. When students are told, they forget. When students are taught, they remember. When students are involved, then they learn. I feel that most of the instructors at my high school really embody this idea."

"There are very few challenges in regards to peer pressure, acceptance, and student involvement. There are some divides among students but for the most part, we all get along. There are extremely few fights and outbursts. Everyone gets along with everyone. Personally, I feel that some students believe that they are better than other students because of outward appearance. By senior year, most students are comfortable with one another. Salem High School is very diverse in terms of sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and sex. No one is persecuted for who they are. Students can be cruel and awful but students in Salem High School are the exact opposite of this. Students of Salem High School are very accepting and welcoming to people of all different backgrounds."

"The IB program is wonderful but an abundance of classes are not challenging or engaging enough and the track system manipulates kids into taking certain classes. There are a small number of apathetic teachers that make students really despise certain subjects."

"I, overall, have loved this school very much. I am in their band program currently, and it happens to be the best around. The atmosphere of Salem High School is welcoming and accepting. When one walks into the establishment, it feels warm and very loving. Most instructors care about their students. The best instructors I have ever had have been my two high school band instructors. They have been very encouraging and very understanding. They involve students more than any other instructor of any other subject that I have ever had. I would definitely still choose to go to Salem High School again if I could. Band has been a place where I have found not only music, talented musicians, and friends, but i have also found family and love. That's what any student should find in high school. Every student deserves to find a place where he or she belongs. Salem High School provides that opportunity to every student. Salem High School has the widest variety of courses that I have ever seen a high school offer and I am proud to say that I have attended this school for the entirety of my high school career."
