"We've had some issues with bullying at this school and all we were ever told was "we're dealing with it." Things didn't change until we went to the Board of Ed."

"As a senior who spent my freshman year at a different school that was very different than SCHS, the school is okay but I would have liked to stay at my other school if circumstances would have allowed. My senior class just seems tired and ready to graduate already. There's not a lot for students to do other than sports and there isn't a lot of variety in the class choices to take a really interesting subject or something I'm really interested in."

"The teachers at SCHS are pretty great teachers. I am in mostly college and honors classes so the teachers tend to enjoy my class more than others because we are more mature and are interesting in learning and we all tend to be hardworking and strive to do our best, which the teachers appreciate. Most teachers grade consistently and communicate well and show an interest in their students. I don't always enjoy the style of teaching of every teacher but most of them are pretty good at being well rounded and accommodating all the different styles of learning."

"South Charleston High School is one of the best high schools in the state of West Virginia. Everyone is involved and most of the students truly care about their academics and experiences. Almost all of the teachers will assist you in any way they possibly can, and they will not stop teaching until they know everyone is on the same page. It is easy to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed every second I have been at this school. It is a great day to be a Black Eagle."
