"Some good things about Stokes is we have some classes that you can't get at other schools in the county. Such as theatre and advanced arts. Great teachers. However there is little funding for the arts and teachers are easily being laid off. The building needs to be upgraded, because it hasn't changed since the 60s."

"This has been a school in which I have been able to grow as both a person and as a student. I have learned many things in this school when it comes to both my social life and my education. Great staff who will push you to do your best!"

"I like how everyone at South is like a family. Compared to other surrounding schools, our student body is close knit. I love the personal connections the teachers make the effort to create with students, and I love that teachers and principals know almost every student by their first name. The support I feel from South is special, and I appreciate how students do not judge each other."

"While South Stokes may not be the best school, it certainly is the best in the area. There are many, many down sides to South, but I think it's about as good as it can be given the resources we have."

"Most of the teachers I had were filled with knowledge about the subjects they taught. They were also respectful to the students and expected the same from the students. Most of the teachers graded consistently. There was only one teacher I had that did not grade consistently. These teachers I had made the lesson interesting and fun to learn about. They also incorporated technology in the assignments. When some of these teachers taught in front of the classroom, it was hard not to listen and be engaged in what they were saying. Some of these teachers also went above and beyond to help you learn the material or to help pull a student's grade up. Overall, they made it a great learning experience."
