"My experience at High Point Central was one I'll never forget. The faces in the hallways and the sound of the bell are the many things I'll always remember. I love how we are building and growing to become a better school. I wouldn't change a thing. I love how we take pride in our in school and I'll always be a bison!"

"The quality of teaching at a high school can make a big difference in how much students learn in their classes and how interested they are in the subjects. If the teachers aren t engaged, the students definitely won t be. A hallmark of low-quality teaching is when the teacher structures everything so that he or she has to do as little work as possible. For example, instead of more challenging short answer tests, the teacher might give you all multiple-choice tests because they re faster to grade."

"I like that there are some teachers who are there just to help us make it. Help us make something of ourselves and not just to leave us to fail. What I wish would change is that there would be no more bullying or fights. The drama need to stop. Everyone just needs to get on their A game"

"I believe that Central has improved over the past four years. I love the reality that the students have to experience, because its the world that other schools separate from its students. However, there is much room for improvement that Central could adapt too with safety, maintenance, and organization."

"High Point Central is one of the best high schools in the state. Principal Bryan Johnson has turned this school completely around in the 4 short years he has been here. As a senior, I can see the changes he has made and can honestly say that the school is a place were the faculty truly cares about the students and the teachers will do anything to see their students succeed in and out of school. For example, free tutoring is offered by all teachers before and after school. HPC will not let a student fall through the cracks of the system as they are always encouraging and urging students to do their best. This school is popular across Piedmont was the first million dollar high school ever built in North Carolina. HPC has a long legacy and there is a pride that goes along with graduating from a school with so much history. If you are considering sending your child to High Point Central I urge you to come take a look at the school for yourself and you will see how great of school this is."
