"I like the art programs at the school, except they are hard to run because of lack of funding. Luckily the art programs get some money, but not enough to run efficiently. Many of the teachers are nice, but some of the teachers are rude and don't care about their job. In my experience, I have had teachers who are unsupportive of field trips unless they are for their class and will give students a hard time if they are involved with any extracurricular activities."

"I think our school has strong academics and faculty. I think rules are enforced and safety is taken as a priorioty."

"RCHS is a relatively good school compared to others in its area. The upper echelon of students are very ambitious, but sometimes that ambitious is hampered by certain faculty members (unless the student is a school athlete, in which case they get preferential treatment). The school populace is primarily white, but the majority of the students are racially tolerant. However, being in the rural south, there is always the occasional racist comment or insinuation. The school lunch and breakfast is very low quality, so most students prefer to bring their own lunch. The students are worked very hard (for better AND for worse), and are generally well prepared for college. Generally, RCHS is a relatively high quality school."

"I loved Rockingham High because it had good people working there, good teachers for the most part, nice students, and many opportunities."

"Some teachers at Rockingham County High are nice but many show favorites based on sports involvement and social status. The facilities could be a lot cleaner and welcoming. The guidance department could be more welcoming and college readiness needs to be seen as extremely important."
