"The school isn't awful or anything, but it certainly isn't the best. Students here are pretty bigoted and rude, and the academics are occasionally a bit lacking. For example, the science department is stuck using extremely old equipment. As for clubs, we do have quite a few, but many of them are essentially defunct. The school doesn't really care about any team or club that isn't a sport, so most clubs go with zero funding."

"Overall the high school is great. Some of the teachers are first year so they're iffy from time to time. I obtained a great education here and I don't have complaints about the school."

"Union Pines was a wonderful place to attend high school. I enjoyed having class with many of the teachers I had and the faculty pushed me to do my best and get me involved in many activities. Sometimes I felt that some of the higher faculty did not care as much about some extra-curricular activities as others, and it would have been encouraging to see their full support of all of their school's activities."

"Union Pines is an older school with great staff and administration, albeit in an aging building that needs renovating. Most teachers here care deeply about their students, and genuinely want to see them succeed and contribute to society later in life. The administration, although overbearing at times, does an excellent job of creating a safe atmosphere for students to learn. There are multiple ethnic groups represented at the school, and they all seamlessly blend together for the most part. Overall, Union Pines is a well-to-do school that needs small improvements to become one of the best schools in the state."

"Union Pines is one of the better high schools in that general area, and some of the teachers are really educated. On the other hand, numerous of the faculty there seem to not care about their students. I would like to see a change in the all around behavior. Another problem in the school is that numerous kids are trouble makers and make it very difficult on others who want to learn."
