"Teachers are more concerned with rules and dress codes than they are for the welfare of the students. We have had at least one student commit suicide each year since the school opened. The teachers are oppressive, dictatorial, rude, condescending, hypocritical, defensive, unapproachable, intolerant, inflexible, uncaring, apathetic, detached, indifferent, lazy, and bullies. Obviously there are teachers who do not fit this mold, however this is the majority. New principal is trying to turn things around, but difficult to work around tenured teachers."

"I can't speak to the parents of the students of the school. I do know that they attend sporting events. The parents that I do know, all share the same opinion about the school. There are way too many rules, and the teachers spend more time enforcing rules than teaching. In School Suspension is the most crowded class, as teachers incessantly send students out of the classroom so that they don't get to learn. Many teachers are now leaning towards the teaching style of making students go home and go on-line to learn material, then go to class take a test on the material (whether they have learned it correctly or not), then AFTER the tests are taken, do a review of why the students are WRONG! Teachers always emphasize what the student does wrong and do not praise when something is done right. Parents can not do anything. Complaints go unanswered and parents are made to feel like the bad guy if they question the dictatorial teachers, so parents just give up and tell their kids that they just have to wait out the four years until they graduate because there's nothing to be done."

"It's easy enough to schedule classes. Some teachers give so much homework, students are putting as much work in at home as they are in school. Some teachers send students home to learn material on line rather than teaching (self-teaching). Guidance counselors are a complete and total waste. Teachers are bullies and there is at least one suicide per year for students who just have too much negativity in their lives. Teachers don't care at all. Students are the target and are looked at as the enemy. Some of these teachers hate kids and shouldn't be teaching. We get the bottom of the barrel because SC teachers make so little. The good teachers who have a passion for their job leave to make more money in better schools"

"This school has a very engaged Principal. He sends out weekly newsletters as do all the teachers. There is a lot of communication!"
