"Every teacher is different with their own style; it requires adjustment but is very refreshing from class to class. If you like a a sit-down, stare at the board, and read a textbook to pass kind of class, you will have to adjust. Effort is definitely a must because the teachers are challenging. They definitely teach difficult material, and the other students are also very ambitious and ready to live up to the challenge. In my personal experience, I've never had a teacher that has ever turned away a question or student wanting extra help. They encourage you. (Finding a friend capable and willing to help out isn't hard either) They are interest in the subject, but also the students. Classes are small so they get to know you for the benefit of your education but also for fun. After classes, I find myself feeling free to ask question and having an actual conversation."

"I have always loved my time at Country Day. Since the beginning, I enjoyed my lower school experience. The school does a great job at engaging the younger kids by incorporating hands-on learning and using different styles to reach many ways of learning. My fondest memories are the active experiences. In third grade science class, individuals grew their choice in vegetables, learned about gardening and its importance, graphed its growth throughout the year, and took their plant home after learning how to stir-fry in class. One fun to watch project is the Fifth grader's ancient egyptian culture. One student might build a pyramid in art class; another might act out their death rituals; another might have a fashion display. Throughout my years, I have experience a sense of individuality in my education. Continuing into middle and high school, students are hold a responsibility to their education which allows for a lot of freedom. Not only do I feel like I have earned an overall knowledge across all subjects but also skills across the arts. Lower schoolers have music and art and are given different options by third grade (for example in musics, orchestra, jazz, chorus, or general music) Electives in the arts are required for most of middle and one year of high school, although many continue until graduation. Having so many options, it's easy to find an interest. Country Day also puts a high focus on "character" from a young age. Lessons on virtues are taught and students discuss things like the importance of their school's honor code. One of my favorite part of my education has been my connections with my teachers. Classes sizes are usually kept small, especially in middle and high school, so students get to know their teachers very well. I loved my connections with my teachers."

"It is very difficult, but enjoyable. The teachers are very good but also are not hesitant to give a ton of homework, even on the weekends. The bright side to this is they care about your education and are always available for help if you need it. The social scene is average for a small high school."

"The lower school and middle school are unequivocally the best in coastal Georgia, and one of the best in the state. Solid basic academics, exposure to critical thinking at an early age, emphasis on writing skills and public speaking at even the earliest levels, and a powerful science, math and humanities curricula complement the area's most comprehensive fine arts program (more so at those levels even than the local public magnet schools). In high school, the humanities remain stellar, but science and math instruction can be more hit-and-miss--still the best in Savannah and Coastal Georgia, by far, but retaining truly outstanding science and math teachers can be more difficult, as demand is greater nationally. Fine arts instruction remain top-of-the-line in high school (all students must choose a fine art class, be it jazz band, strings, art, drama or chorus), and there are a number of languages offered--not just the requisite French and Spanish, but also Latin and Mandarin."
